Yesterday I made a great mistake of going to one of the tourist attractions in Istanbul on a religious holiday! There was a great amount of people including tourists, and it was hot. I don’t think the day of judgment would be a lot different than that.
While I was on a boat to Üsküdar, there was this little girl that was constantly warned by her parents. They were cautious – and they should be! – and called out at every single time when she approached to the bars to see the wild waves.
Of course, she was not listening.
Listening is crucial to me and I try to be a good listener as much as I can, but yesterday I was on this girl’s side. Because courage is as important as listening.
Like Elizabeth in Pride & Prejudice says: “There is a stubbornness about me that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others. My courage always rises at every attempt to intimidate me.”
